The Volkswagen Polo Sedan finally releases new generation. While in some markets this model is known as Virtus, the "Polo Sedan" variant known to date had not been marketed anywhere until now, when it begins its commercial South African journey.

This model will be especially important for Volkswagen South Africa as it is one of the preferred cars of users for its value-price proportion, although compared to the previous generation it is more expensive, larger and has a greater presence, something that will probably allow it to increase sales even in the case of larger models.

the new Polo Sedan model is produced in India for South Africa and Namibia, and shares almost all the elements with the Virtus, which is also marketed in other parts of the world such as Mexico, Sri Lanka and India. It is therefore a car already well known although adapted to the somewhat more demanding needs of the South African public.

Engine

At the moment all Volkswagen Polo Sedans are equipped with a 1.6 MPI 110 hp engine in combination with a manual or Tiptronic automatic gearbox. It is a veteran engine but very reliable and this is precisely something that is highly valued in South Africa. A 1.5 TSI with 150 hp and DSG gearbox will arrive later.

The Volkswagen Polo 2022 does not have any mechanical innovations. It is available only with a three-cylinder engine and 1.0 liter, which generates 80 hp for the most accessible version, and raises its power to 95 or 110 hp with a turbocharger for the rest of the range. It can be taken with manual transmission or a seven-speed DSG box. Unlike other similar models such as the Ibiza, Polo does not offer the 150 hp 1.5 TSI.

Depending on the version of the Volkswagen Golf, they may include a bright interior, automatic climate control, keyless entry and start, digital dashboard, touch screen, navigator, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rear camera, induction cell phone charger, parking sensors, etc.
